You can use this GIMP tutorial to add old paper texture or any kind of background image to any drawing.
For the old paper, I really like this one from Morguefile user renguerra.
For those of you who may not have heard of GIMP, it is an open source image-editing program that is very powerful, pretty much on the level of Adobe Photoshop.
You can get GIMP for free here.
For examples, I have used this technique to add old paper and/or a background to the following images:
